During a day or half day, you will join the life of the reindeer herders, if necessary we will use snowshoes to walk to our fence in the samis district. We keep some reindeers in fence during the winter to ensure a good control over a pourcent of the herd, while the other walk free in the local mountains. You will therefore meet some calves, females and few males of different ages, colors and shapes. We also have some tame reindeers, they are used to move the herd and pull some material, you can touch them to feel the thickness of the fur and have a closer look at their hoof and body details. 

 

The surrounding scenery is beautifull : mountain and tundra.

During this time with us you will feed the reindeers, make fire in our Samis tent (Lavvu), taste some reindeer products.

Issat the local Samis and owner of the herd will teach you how to use the suoapan (reindeer lasso) and share with you his knowledge about moutain, Samis lifestyle ... 

​

This tour is a cultural tour, we want to share with you real subjects about the Samis and local history, you will see traditionnal idems and craft use today and in the past. 

We like to take time to chat and relax in the Lavvu looking at the reindeers. 

​

This tour can be extend to the night to observ northernlight (if clear sky). For the brave one we can also arrange overnight in the lavvu. 

​

Price can be discuss in function of : the number of participants and the duration of the tour.
